Glenwood Universe Roadmap: Final Updates, Cancellations, and Project News

This update outlines the latest changes to my publishing plans, including canceled projects, adjustments to the development schedule, and the finalized roadmap for upcoming Glenwood Universe books. With these decisions now in place, this will be the final major revision before the roadmap is considered official.

For returning readers, it is important to clarify that the rebooted Glenwood franchise functions as an anthology within one interconnected universe. Its stories take place across distinct eras and explore different characters, locations, and genres, but they remain connected by a single, carefully structured timeline. The franchise includes spin-offs, sequels, and standalone novels, allowing the universe to move freely between mystery, thriller, action, drama, science fiction, and other genres.

As I prepare for the final prequel releases scheduled for 2027—Phase 1 of the new roadmap—I have made several changes to ensure that each project serves the larger direction of the franchise. I will begin with the projects that have been canceled or placed aside.

  1. Glenwood Universe: Silver Island — This standalone project had previously been canceled in an earlier form that centered on the Safari Crew. The revised version would have followed their older siblings as they visited Silver Island, a luxurious party destination owned by billionaire Martin Tinsley. Set during the summer of 2020, after the COVID-19 pandemic, the novel was planned as a mystery thriller beneath the island’s glamorous surface. I have canceled this version because I intend to revisit an island-centered storyline during the franchise’s upcoming Cosmic Superhuman Era, where the concept can play a more meaningful role.

  2. Once Upon a Time in Chestnut City — Set one year before the events of Glenwood X: Volume 1, this standalone novel would have followed Koi Safari as he reunited with a former college friend in Chestnut City. Seeking a break from British Columbia, Canada, Koi would return to the United States for the first time since leaving Glenwood for college—only to become the target of gang members who wanted him dead. Although the project was conceived as an action-packed thriller, I canceled it because Chestnut City will have an important role later in the franchise. I also want to give Koi a temporary break from constant conflict before placing him at the center of another major crisis.

  3. Koi and the Philly Vanishing — This standalone action thriller would have sent Koi to Philadelphia to search for his fiancée after she disappeared during a weekend visit with a mutual friend. The central mystery remains a strong concept, but I have decided to transfer the storyline to Adonis, who will lead the Cosmic Superhuman Era beginning in 2028. Reworking the premise around Adonis will allow it to support the next major era of the Glenwood Universe.

  4. Glenwood: The Safari Crew—Slice of Life — Originally titled Glenwood: Slice of Life and envisioned as a three-part story, this project later developed into the idea for one substantial novel. It would have marked the conclusion of the Safari Crew’s shared storylines while exploring their lives in their thirties and their desire for normalcy after years of fighting for Glenwood. I am canceling the book because the final installment of the Glenwood X series already gave these characters meaningful closure. However, readers remain eager for more Safari Crew-led stories, so I may preserve the concept for possible future use. Because the universe is interconnected, these characters can still cross into other series. Koi Safari remains the protagonist of the wider franchise, and I have more stories to tell with him. The Safari Crew also remains the franchise’s core ensemble, even as many supporting characters receive opportunities to lead their own stories.

  5. Glenwood Stories 2 — This is the final canceled title on the roadmap. Although the first Glenwood Stories installment is fully mapped out, I do not currently have a strong plan for a second volume, nor do I want the concept to grow into another ongoing Glenwood-themed series. The version of Glenwood Stories included on this roadmap is itself a reboot; the original series ran for 18 volumes and concluded in 2016. Keeping the new project focused will help distinguish it from that earlier run.

Canceling a project does not necessarily mean abandoning its strongest ideas. In some cases, a storyline is being reserved for a later era where it will have greater impact; in others, the concept no longer feels substantial enough to support a full novel. To finalize the roadmap responsibly, I am also removing estimated completion years from most phases. The Cosmic Superhuman Era will be the roadmap’s longest phase, so assigning premature dates to every later stage would create expectations before those projects are ready.

The Finalized Roadmap

Phase 1 (2027): Final Prequel Releases

  • Glenwood Junior High series — 3 books

  • Glenwood: In Too Deep

  • Glenwood: Tales of Don Doyle

Phase 2 (Beginning in 2028): The Cosmic Superhuman Era

  • Adonis series — 8 books

  • Kid of Adonis series — 5 books

Phase 2 will also include 20 additional titles featuring solo adventures for other cosmic characters and villains, along with The Radiant Core series. Because of its scale, this will be the longest phase on the roadmap.

Phase 3: New and Returning Glenwood Stories

  • Glenwood Stories

  • Glenwood Universe: Dawn Sinclair

  • Glenwood: The Safari Crew—Slice of Life

  • Return to Camp Glenwood

Phase 4: Koi’s Next Major Chapter

  • Glenwood 3.0: Koi Safari’s Reckoning

Phase 5: The Diamond Falls Saga

  • The Curse of Diamond Falls

  • Diamond Falls: The Hollow-Eyed Foreman

  • Diamond Falls: Reaped by the Hook

     Diamond Falls: The island-town slasher

  • Diamond Falls: Final Nightmare

Adonis Update

The Adonis series will launch the Cosmic Superhuman Era and introduce a revised version of Adonis’s background. At the beginning of his story, Adonis will be 30 years old when the cosmic DNA begins to take control of him. This transformation will establish the foundation for the era’s larger conflicts and the expanding group of cosmic heroes and villains. Nyon will be 11 years old when the Kid of Adonis series begins, creating a distinct perspective within the same era.

Principal cosmic characters: Adonis, Nyon, Cosmic Karon, Basir, Magenta Rose, Esme Evans, Tar, Cineris, Krevon, and Geo Mantle. Together, these characters will form the central ensemble of this era, appearing across solo stories, connected series, and larger crossover events.

Koi: The Series Update

I released Books 1 and 2 of Koi: The Series in August 2026, and many readers have asked when Book 3 will arrive. Progress slowed during a brief hiatus caused by work and personal responsibilities, but Book 3 has now reached its final chapter. I plan to complete it this week and will announce its availability once the release timing is confirmed.

The series remains a major priority. Three additional books are planned after Book 3, although the hiatus may push completion of the full six-book series into early 2027. Book 4 is already mapped out and ready to be written, while Books 5 and 6 currently have completed synopses that will guide their development. As the central protagonist of the Glenwood franchise, Koi needs a dedicated series that explores his experiences away from Glenwood and explains his absences from the Safari Crew. These books will continue developing his individual journey while maintaining his connection to the wider universe.

Closing Note
This concludes this week’s project update. Going forward, I will focus my announcements on books that are actively in development so readers receive clearer and more reliable information.
