Koi: The Series update

I released the first two books of Koi: The Series in August 2026, and so far, readers have been enjoying the slasher-mystery, drama, and Glenwood spinoff elements that the series brings into the larger franchise. This series was created to give readers a darker and more suspenseful look into the Glenwood universe while still keeping the emotional drama, character connections, hidden references, and franchise Easter eggs that longtime readers have come to expect. I started developing book 3 in July, but the manuscript faced numerous delays because of work and other responsibilities I had going on in life. Even with those delays, the story never stopped being important to me, and now I am back to giving Koi: The Series my full attention. Book 3’s manuscript is almost completed, and during the development process, I also mapped out books 4, 5, and 6. Because of that planning, I expect those projects to move in a more straightforward direction once book 3 is finished.

Koi: The Series book 3 will conclude the campus killer storyline, bringing that chapter of the series to an important close before the story transitions beyond the college environment and into Hilltop’s neighboring town of Raven Valley. This shift is important because it opens the door for the series to expand its setting, raise the stakes, and explore how the events surrounding Koi continue to affect the characters after the campus mystery reaches its conclusion. Book 4 will take place during the summer after Koi’s graduation, giving the series a new atmosphere and a chance to follow the characters as they move into the next stage of their lives. Book 5 will be a holiday season of terror, bringing danger, suspense, and emotional consequences into a different kind of setting, while book 6 will tie everything together and connect the larger pieces of the story. I am hoping to finish the next three books by the end of 2026 so I can begin my next roadmap of new books as the Glenwood universe continues to expand. The upcoming roadmap will still remain in the prequel era of the main series, Glenwood: X, which means these stories will continue building toward the larger timeline while adding more depth to the characters, locations, and events that shape the franchise. I am diving one more time back into the halls of Glenwood Junior High School, exploring Silver Island, and following the rest of the Safari Crew after they have all graduated college and are looking forward to what their degrees may bring. These upcoming stories are not just side projects; they are part of the larger Glenwood puzzle, and readers should pay close attention because references, familiar names, character connections, and Easter eggs can appear across each book. Below are the next projects.

Glenwood Junior High — 3 books that return to the earlier years of the Glenwood universe and explore another important stage in the franchise’s prequel era.

Glenwood Universe: Silver Island — 1 book that will run parallel with Koi: The Series book 4, giving readers another piece of the franchise timeline and expanding the world beyond the main locations.

Glenwood: In Too Deep — 1 book that will also run parallel with Koi: The Series book 4, adding another connected storyline for readers to follow as the Glenwood universe grows.

Once Upon a Time in Chestnut City — 1 book that will introduce another important entry within the Glenwood universe and continue building out the franchise’s connected world.

These books are expected to debut from early 2027 through early 2028, giving readers a steady continuation of the Glenwood universe after Koi: The Series moves deeper into its next phase. Each project will add something different to the franchise, but they will still connect back to the larger world, timeline, and characters that readers have been following.

Right now, my main focus is finishing Koi: The Series. Book 3 is expected to debut sometime this month in September, and it will be a major turning point for the series as it closes one storyline and prepares readers for what comes next. For new readers, this is the best time to start paying close attention. The Glenwood franchise is built with layers, and every book can include clues, references, callbacks, and details that connect to something bigger. As the universe continues to expand, the smallest mention or moment may become important later, so readers should keep their eyes open and stay connected to the full timeline.

I just finished Book 1 & 2 and I can say that I love how it feels like you’re reading a movie. I am a fan of slasher theme horror. Keep up the good work! I am looking forward to the next four books of Koi: The Series. BTW I hope my favorite characters Paige and Ahmad survives through it all.
