'Adonis' A new series of the Glenwood Franchise is a Retroman reboot.

Before he becomes Retroman, Adonis Anderson is a man standing at the edge of two lives: the one he barely survived, and the one he promised his family he would build when he finally came home. At thirty-one years old, Adonis is released from prison and returns to Dogtown, the struggling town outside the city of Glenwood where poverty, gang violence, drugs, and survival have shaped generations. Dogtown is close enough to Glenwood to feel its shadow, but far enough away to know it has always been left to fight its own battles. For Adonis, coming back means facing the streets that raised him, the mistakes that followed him, and the temptation to become the person everyone already expects him to be.

Adonis does not return home as a hero. He returns as a man trying to stay out of trouble, keep his head down, and prove that prison did not define the rest of his life. But Dogtown has a way of pulling people back into old patterns. On Honey Brick Ave, late one night, Adonis witnesses something impossible: a bright object tearing across the sky before crashing somewhere in the darkness. Drawn by curiosity and a feeling he cannot explain, he follows the impact and discovers a cosmic meteorite pulsing with an energy unlike anything on Earth. When he comes into contact with it, the energy enters him and begins changing him from the inside out.

The original series followed a retro-loving kid who discovered a meteorite at Dogtown playground, gained cosmic powers, and grew from Retroboy into Retroman as he faced villains, danger, friendship, loyalty, sacrifice, and the burden of saving Dogtown—and eventually the world. This reboot keeps the soul of that journey but transforms Adonis’ origin into a story about redemption, identity, power, and the thin line between heroism and destruction.

Across four books, Adonis’ evolution will unfold one dangerous stage at a time. The first book begins with his release from prison, his return to Dogtown, the meteorite crash on a summer-like night, and the frightening birth of his powers. As he struggles to find himself, he faces threats that force him to decide whether his abilities are a curse, a second chance, or the beginning of something much bigger. Later books can expand the conflict beyond Dogtown as Adonis grows into the name Retroman, moving from street-level survival to larger battles that challenge the entire Glenwood universe.
