'A compelling roadmap'
The 2026–2029 roadmap for the Glenwood Universe has undergone a significant shift, with several potential new comic stories now being added to expand the timeline, deepen the worldbuilding, and create more opportunities for characters to grow across different stages of their lives. These additions are intended to broaden the Glenwood Universe beyond its current planned releases while also giving readers a clearer sense of how different stories connect across time, location, and character development. Along with the new additions, there has also been an important change to one of the most anticipated series on the roadmap.
The following comic stories are being added to the roadmap as possible new entries in the Glenwood Universe:
-
Glenwood Junior High – This series will be set between Camp Glenwood and Glenwood: Last Class, following the Safari crew during their middle school years. It will help bridge an important gap in the timeline by showing how the characters begin to mature, develop friendships, face early challenges, and grow into the versions of themselves seen in later stories.
-
Once Upon a Time in Chestnut City – This standalone book will follow Koi as he takes a short vacation to Chestnut City after deciding to take a break from British Columbia. Set during Koi’s years living in Canada, the story will give readers a closer look at his personal journey, his need for change, and the experiences that shape him while he is away from familiar surroundings.
-
Glenwood Universe: Silver Island – This standalone book will center on Saeed Safari, Diamond Chanel, and Prince Doyle as they spend the summer on Silver Island, one of the most tropical and energetic party destinations in the world. The story is expected to explore adventure, friendship, luxury, and summer chaos while giving these characters their own spotlight outside the main Glenwood storyline. The story will run parallel with Koi: The Series Book 4.
Glenwood: Slice of Life, which was originally expected to be the final three-part series for the Safari crew, has also changed direction. Instead of being released as three separate books, it will now become one large, complete novel. The story will follow the crew as they navigate their thirties while dealing with life crises, trauma, personal struggles, major challenges, and new opportunities. This change allows the series to feel more unified and gives the final chapter of the Safari crew’s journey a larger, more emotional scope.
The Curse of Diamond Falls and Koi vs. Fiction will remain on the 2026–2029 roadmap, meaning those projects are still part of the current long-term plan. However, New Icons, the next-generation series that was previously expected sooner, has been pushed back to 2030. This delay is intentional, as the goal is to begin the new decade with a fresh era of characters, storytelling, and direction for the Glenwood Universe.
Koi: The Series is still expected to be completed by the end of 2026, with all six books planned for release within that year. The release schedule is expected to begin in August with the debut of Books 1, 2, and 3. Overall, the updated roadmap shows that the Glenwood Universe is expanding in a bigger and more ambitious direction, with new standalone stories, timeline-building series, and major changes that will help shape the future of the franchise from 2026 through 2030.
