"Be careful with what you write."

Koi vs. Fiction is a major new chapter in the Glenwood universe that brings together several of my older unpublished stories into one larger crossover narrative. By pulling ideas from Retroman, The Digital Brothers, and Dreamworld out of the vault, this project reimagines forgotten concepts as essential parts of a rebooted Glenwood franchise. At its core, the story represents both a revival of past creativity and the beginning of something much bigger.

Koi vs. Fiction is a high-concept fantasy thriller centered on Koi Safari, a young writer whose imagination suddenly becomes the most dangerous force in his world. After receiving a mysterious black marble-like book, Koi begins using it to shape the story of Glenwood, only to discover that every word he writes starts unfolding in real life. What first feels like an unbelievable creative gift quickly turns into a terrifying burden as fiction and reality collide, placing Koi at the center of a crisis far greater than anything he ever imagined. When a secretive government agency that has been tracking the book steals it with plans to weaponize its power, Koi is forced into a desperate race against time. If he cannot reclaim the book and rewrite the story’s ending, Glenwood—and everyone he loves—could be erased from existence forever. As the danger escalates, the boundaries of Koi’s fictional universe break apart, bringing forgotten characters, buried ideas, and even the memory of lost friends into the unfolding conflict. The result is a deeply personal and epic battle over creativity, destiny, and survival. More than just a crossover of older concepts, Koi vs. Fiction serves as the gateway to a larger rebooted Glenwood universe, weaving together characters and mythology from unpublished works written years earlier. Stories once left behind now become essential pieces of a much bigger narrative, turning Koi’s past imagination into the key to his future fight.

Retroman (2008) follows Jordan Jones, an ordinary young man who makes an extraordinary discovery when he realizes he possesses incredible superhuman abilities. What begins with teleportation, super-strength, and telekinesis soon grows into an even more powerful connection to the earth itself, allowing Jordan to manipulate elemental forces. But power does not remain hidden for long. After a public incident nearly costs innocent lives and exposes Jordan to the world, he becomes the focus of rising danger. As fear, attention, and conflict close in around him, a powerful enemy emerges, forcing Jordan to confront the true weight of his abilities and test whether he is capable of becoming the hero his world needs.

Dreamworld (2010) centers on a teen named Dion, whose life changes the moment he discovers a magical dream chaser chain. Curious and unaware of its true power, he wears it to sleep one night and is transported into a breathtaking realm built from his own dreams. In this strange and imaginative world, wonder and danger exist side by side, and Dion must navigate a reality where the impossible feels alive. What begins as an incredible escape soon hints at something deeper, revealing that the dream realm may hold powers, truths, and consequences that could follow him back into the waking world.

The Digital Brothers (2010) tells the story of three brothers struggling to survive poverty when they stumble upon a golden luxury watch that seems capable of changing their lives forever. At first, the watch appears to be the miracle they desperately need, giving them a chance to secure food, money, and a future that once felt impossible. But the brothers soon uncover the watch’s extraordinary secret: it has the power to stop time. As they begin to use it, the line between opportunity and danger starts to blur. What seemed like a blessing becomes a growing threat when the watch’s power begins affecting the planet itself, forcing the brothers to face consequences far bigger than their own survival.

By bringing these once-separate stories together, Koi vs. Fiction has the potential to become one of the most ambitious and emotionally layered entries in the Glenwood universe. It is not just a revival of older ideas, but a reinvention that transforms past concepts into one connected, high-stakes narrative. With its mix of magical power, reality-bending consequences, superhero mythology, dreamlike fantasy, and time-altering suspense, the story promises an unforgettable experience that could stand alongside Diamond Falls: Roots of Horror as a defining chapter in the franchise.
